- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 8 ounces slow-roasted pork (or grilled chicken/roasted vegetables)
- 4 slices dill pickles
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix softened unsalted butter with minced garlic until combined.
- Slice the Cuban bread in half lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture on both inside surfaces of the bread.
- Layer Swiss cheese on one side followed by pork or alternative filling. Add pickles on top.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in it. Press down gently until golden brown; flip and repeat on the other side.
