  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 lb lean ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or sausage for about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and stir in marinara sauce; let simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with garlic powder and Italian seasoning until smooth.
  4. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Layer with three lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and one-third of the mozzarella. Repeat twice more, finishing with meat sauce topped with mozzarella.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
