  • 2 cups unsalted pretzels, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz Cool Whip
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 3 oz strawberry gelatin

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  2. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown; cool completely.
  3. Beat cream cheese with remaining sugar until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip until light and fluffy.
  4. Spread cream cheese mixture over cooled crust; chill for at least an hour.
  5. In a saucepan, dissolve gelatin in boiling water; let cool slightly and stir in sliced strawberries.
  6. Pour strawberry mixture over cream cheese layer; chill for an additional two hours until set. Serve chilled.
