- 1 cup shredded cheese (Edam or cheddar)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy. Stir in melted butter and eggs.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the risen dough, divide it into equal pieces, roll into ropes, and shape into coils on greased trays.
