- 1 large head of green cabbage
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup cooked long-grain white rice
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with herbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a large baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Remove the core from the cabbage and blanch the leaves in boiling water for about 5 minutes until pliable. Drain and let cool.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, cooked rice, diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Place about 2 tablespoons of filling on each cabbage leaf, roll tightly like a burrito, and place seam-side down in the baking dish.
- Mix tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl, then pour over the layered cabbage rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; remove foil for the last 10 minutes to brown slightly.
