- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 lb Italian sausage (mixed mild and spicy)
- 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cups marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown ground beef and sausage over medium heat; drain excess fat.
- Mix ricotta cheese, egg, and half the Parmesan in a bowl until smooth.
- In a greased baking dish, layer as follows: marinara sauce, lasagna noodles, half of the meat mixture, half of the ricotta mixture, one-third of the mozzarella. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining noodles and marinara sauce; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
