  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • Zest of 1 lemon or orange
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in lemon or orange zest and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour and cornstarch. Gradually add to the butter mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  4. Roll small balls of dough (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on the baking sheets, spacing them apart. Slightly flatten each ball.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden around the edges. Let cool completely on wire racks.
  6. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth. Dip half of each cookie into melted chocolate, letting excess drip off, then place on parchment paper to set.
