Ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add diced chicken seasoned with Cajun seasoning and cook until browned (5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add another tablespoon of butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Stir in uncooked orzo and toast slightly for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream; stir well to combine.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is al dente.
