  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-seasoned)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Form into one-inch meatballs.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown meatballs in olive oil for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
  5. In another saucepan, combine heavy cream, beef broth, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper over medium heat until warmed through.
  6. In the greased baking dish, layer pasta followed by meatballs; pour sauce over and mix gently.
