  • 3 medium Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, peeled and sliced (about 4 cups)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, oats, and melted butter until crumbly. Press half of this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Toss sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in another bowl. Spread this mixture evenly over the crust.
  4. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the apple layer, then sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown on top. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before drizzling additional salted caramel over the top.
  6. Allow bars to cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
