Description

Golden and crispy crab cakes infused with garlic and parmesan cheese, cooked to perfection in the air fryer for a healthier, mess-free alternative to frying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lump crab meat, drained and picked for shells
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking oil spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the beaten egg, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and minced garlic until smooth.
  2. Stir in the Panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the lump crab meat using a spatula, being careful not to break the crab chunks.
  4. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into patties about 1 inch thick.
  5. Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray the basket with cooking oil.
  7. Place the chilled crab cakes in the basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.
  8. Cook for 6 minutes, then carefully flip each cake and cook for another 5-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
