Description

Crispy, golden-brown french fries tossed in a bold blend of smoky paprika and garlic. These air fryer fries offer a satisfying crunch without the need for deep frying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs Russet potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoky paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the Russet potatoes into uniform 1/4-inch strips.
  2. Submerge the potato strips in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes to remove surface starch.
  3. Drain the potatoes and pat them completely dry using a clean kitchen towel.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, toss the dried potatoes with olive oil, smoky paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  5. Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  6. Cook at 380°F for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket every 5-7 minutes to ensure even browning.
  7. Increase the temperature to 400°F and cook for an additional 2 minutes for maximum crispiness.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
