Description

A fast and healthy dinner featuring mild tilapia fillets coated in a bold, smoky Cajun spice blend and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels to ensure the seasoning sticks.
  3. In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush each fillet with melted butter or olive oil.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the Cajun spice mixture over the top of each fillet, pressing gently with your fingers.
  6. Place fillets on the baking sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily.
  7. Remove from oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish before serving.
