- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 10 oz semi-sweet chocolate bar, chopped
Instructions
- Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until amber and nutty; let cool slightly.
- Cream browned butter with brown and granulated sugars until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the wet mixture.
- Fold in the chopped chocolate pieces by hand.
- Refrigerate the dough for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
- Scoop dough into balls and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
