Description

A fast and flavorful beef stir fry featuring tender flank steak and crisp vegetables tossed in a savory sesame ginger glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 large carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced ginger, garlic, and cornstarch in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove beef from pan and set aside.
  4. Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan. Toss in broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers, stir-frying for 3-5 minutes until crisp-tender.
  5. Return the beef to the pan and pour the sauce over the mixture.
  6. Stir constantly for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
  7. Remove from heat, stir in toasted sesame oil and sesame seeds, and garnish with sliced green onions.
