- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your Belgian waffle iron to a medium-high setting.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir with a spatula until just combined; do not overmix.
- Grease the waffle iron lightly and pour in the batter, filling the center. Close the lid and cook until steam stops escaping (about 3-5 minutes).
- In a small skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add chopped pecans and toast for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir the maple syrup into the toasted pecans and simmer for 1 minute until thickened.
- Plate the hot waffles and drizzle the warm maple pecan topping over the top.
