Description
A sweet and savory salmon dish cooked in foil packets for maximum moisture and zero cleanup. The brown sugar and garlic create a sticky, caramelized glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Heavy-duty aluminum foil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut four large squares of heavy-duty aluminum foil and lightly grease each with oil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice until the sugar is dissolved.
- Pat salmon fillets dry and season them with black pepper.
- Place each fillet in the center of a foil square and generously spoon the glaze over the top and sides of the fish.
- Fold the edges of the foil over the salmon to create a sealed packet, leaving a little room for steam.
- Place packets on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- Carefully open the packets and check that the salmon flakes easily with a fork or reaches 145°F internal temperature.
