- 6 large jalapeños, halved and seeded
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 can refrigerated crescent dough strips
- 6 black olives, sliced into small pieces for eyes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them completely.
- Unroll the crescent dough and cut each triangle into thin strips about 1/4 inch wide.
- Wrap the dough strips around each stuffed pepper, leaving a small gap for the eyes to peek through.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and immediately place two small pieces of olive in the gaps to create eyes.
