- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Panko or Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, and oregano in a bowl.
- Dip chicken breasts in beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sear chicken for 3 minutes per side until golden.
- Spread 1/2 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place seared chicken in the dish and top each with more marinara sauce.
- Cover the chicken with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
