A delicious twist on classic Chicken Parmesan, baked in a casserole dish for easy serving and maximum cheesiness while keeping that signature crispy crust.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Panko or Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, and oregano in a bowl.
  3. Dip chicken breasts in beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a pan and sear chicken for 3 minutes per side until golden.
  5. Spread 1/2 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place seared chicken in the dish and top each with more marinara sauce.
  7. Cover the chicken with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
