- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup cornstarch for coating
- 2 tbsp neutral oil for frying
Instructions
- Mince the salmon into very small pieces using a sharp knife.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked sushi rice and minced salmon.
- Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped green onions, and beaten egg until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls or patties, pressing firmly to ensure they are tight.
- Lightly coat each bite in cornstarch, shaking off the excess.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Fry the bites for 3-4 minutes per side until deep golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
