Instructions
- Sauté diced onions and minced garlic in a pan until translucent.
- Sear chicken thighs in the same pan over medium-high heat until browned on both sides.
- Place seared chicken and sautéed aromatics into the slow cooker.
- Whisk together chicken broth, melted butter, thyme, salt, and pepper; pour over the chicken.
- Cook on Low for 4 to 5 hours until chicken is tender.
- Stir in the rinsed uncooked rice, ensuring it is fully submerged in the liquid.
- Cook on Low for an additional 2 to 3 hours until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
