- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 brioche buns
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef and diced onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat until meat is cooked through.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Transfer the beef mixture and any pan juices into the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and apple cider vinegar.
- Pour the sauce over the beef in the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Toast buns with butter and scoop the meat mixture onto the buns to serve.
