- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup long grain white rice, uncooked
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375F (190C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if desired.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the beef and sauté for 3-5 minutes until translucent.
- Stir in the paprika, salt, and black pepper, coating the meat evenly.
- Add the uncooked rice to the skillet and stir for 2 minutes to toast the grains.
- Pour in the beef broth and stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
