Description

Ingredients

  • 30 oz frozen shredded hash browns, thawed and dried
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F (175C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Place thawed shredded potatoes in a kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sour cream, and minced garlic until smooth.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped parsley, and sliced chives.
  5. Add the dried shredded potatoes to the mixture and fold gently with a spatula until evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down lightly to level the surface.
  7. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and edges are bubbling.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
