- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for topping)
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- In a medium bowl, stir together 1/2 cup melted butter and 1 cup peanut butter until smooth.
- Gradually mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is thick and well combined.
- Press the peanut butter mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan using a spatula.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons melted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly to the edges.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate is completely firm.
- Lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into 16 squares with a sharp knife.
