- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Divide the dough into separate bowls and add gel food coloring to each, stirring until the color is uniform.
- Fold semi-sweet chocolate chips into each colored dough batch.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
