- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Halloween sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350F (175C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Stir in the orange gel food coloring until the batter is a vibrant orange.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Roll the dough into small balls and flatten them slightly into pumpkin shapes, pressing a small indent in the center.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just set.
- Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in the microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring in between.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled cookies and immediately top with Halloween sprinkles.
