Juicy, golden-brown chicken breasts seared in a skillet and finished with a rich, aromatic garlic butter baste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken with salt and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Place chicken in the pan and sear for 5-7 minutes without moving them until golden brown.
  5. Flip the breasts and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 155°F.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  7. Spoon the melting garlic butter over the chicken repeatedly for 2-3 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Remove chicken from the pan and let it rest on a plate for 5 minutes.
  9. Pour the remaining garlic butter and fresh parsley over the chicken before serving.
