Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Spread the pumpkin puree into the bottom of the pan, stirring in the vanilla extract and cinnamon.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pumpkin layer without stirring.
  4. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top of the cake mix.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the entire surface, covering as much of the dry mix as possible.
  6. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
