Description

A rich, buttery, and tangy slow-cooked chicken dish inspired by the bold flavors of Mississippi. Perfect for sandwiches, bowls, or as a main entrée.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, sliced
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch seasoning
  • 810 whole pepperoncini peppers
  • 2 tablespoons pepperoncini brine

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
  2. Sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning evenly over the top of the chicken.
  3. Place butter slices on top of the seasoning layer.
  4. Add whole pepperoncini peppers and pour the brine over the ingredients.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Remove chicken and shred with two forks, then return to the pot to mix with the sauce.
