Description

A sticky, sweet, and spicy slow-cooked chicken dish featuring a bold honey-sriracha glaze. Tender chicken thighs are shredded and tossed in a rich, aromatic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Sriracha
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the slow cooker insert.
  2. Place chicken thighs in the pot in a single layer.
  3. Whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
  4. Pour the glaze over the chicken and coat thoroughly.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Remove chicken to a plate and shred with two forks.
  7. Return shredded chicken to the pot and stir to combine with the sauce.
  8. Optional: simmer the sauce on high for 30 more minutes for a thicker glaze.
