Description

A simple, layered dessert combining juicy strawberries, tangy cream cheese, and a buttery cake mix topping for a cheesecake-inspired treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white or yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Spread the sliced strawberries evenly across the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the strawberries to help release their juices.
  4. Stir vanilla extract into the softened cream cheese, then drop small dollops of the mixture over the berries.
  5. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the strawberry and cream cheese layers.
  6. Pour the melted butter slowly over the cake mix, ensuring the entire surface is covered.
  7. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 15 minutes before serving.
