  • 3 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for caramel)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp sea salt (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time until emulsified.
  4. Fold in sifted flour, baking powder, soda, and cinnamon.
  5. Gently stir in diced apples.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Melt sugar in a pot until amber, then whisk in heavy cream and salt.
