Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté sliced mushrooms in butter over medium heat until golden brown.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant.
  3. Whisk together heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and flour in a separate bowl until smooth.
  4. Place trimmed green beans in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Pour the mushroom and cream mixture over the beans and stir gently to coat.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours until beans are tender.
  7. Transfer to an oven-safe dish, top with fried onions, and broil for 3-5 minutes until crisp.
