- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- Whisk pumpkin puree, 1/2 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, and heavy cream until smooth.
- Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, remaining brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter using a fork or pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Spoon the topping over the pumpkin filling in small mounds.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and filling is set.
- Allow to cool for 15-20 minutes before serving.
