Description

A warm fruit cobbler topped with a cinnamon-sugar crust that tastes exactly like a snickerdoodle cookie. A cozy, comforting dessert for any season.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced Granny Smith apples
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp extra sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F (175C).
  2. Place sliced apples in a baking dish and toss with 1 tsp cinnamon and 2 tbsp sugar.
  3. Cream softened butter and 3/4 cup sugar until fluffy.
  4. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 tsp cinnamon until a dough forms.
  5. Spoon dough portions over the fruit, leaving small gaps.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top of the dough.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
