Ingredients

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves

Instructions
- Heat water and sugar in a pan until dissolved.
- Steep basil leaves in the syrup for 10 minutes.
- Strain the syrup into a pitcher.
- Stir in lemon juice and salt.
- Chill the mixture for 2 hours.
- Churn in an ice cream maker and freeze for 4 hours.
