- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F (175C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- Cream together softened butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Stir in the flour and baking soda until just combined; do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden but the center is slightly soft.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
